The Queen's Colours taken from the original painting inspired by Her Majesty's horse racing colours. Which have been seen carried to victory by many of the Queens racehorses such as Pall Mall, Estimate, Highclere, Dunfermline Etc. These racing colours hold a sentimental as well as successful history for the Queen as the silks were used by both her late father King George VI, and her great-grandfather, King Edward VII.
The design explained. Purple body with gold braids, red sleeves with gold braid, birds eye view of the racing cap with a gold tassle. ER II = Elizabeth Regina II. The R stands for Regina, which means "queen."
Excellent quality fine bone china mug with a pleasing 'ting' when flicked. Every decal is screen printed and applied by hand in Stoke on Trent, England, to achieve the colours accurately.
This mug has a 400ml capacity and a handle that accommodates a man’s hand. It is 91mm high with a diameter of 80mm, dishwasher safe and holds a good cup of tea or coffee!
